Hot sausage, egg and cheese sandwich is a life altering breakfast. Kicking myself I didn't get a second for the ride home.

Can I give this place a 10 star? WOW!!! I've been going to this place of business for over 30 years, when the father had a shack on the Delaware river. Now, the son has a very nice place further north, near a casino, with an expanded menu which can't be beat. Though I haven't had everything on their menu, the items I have had are the absolute best!!! I now drive an hour to buy his raw hot sausages to take home and freeze to cook on my Blackstone flat top griddle. I can't pass up the opportunity to have a sandwich of the same(of course it's cooked) while I'm there. I have mine with raw onion and ketchup. I've had their fishcakes (I don't normally like fish), but these are to die for. Hot dogs are great too, and they offer combo meals as well. They serve breakfast sammies too. I can only say that I wish this place was closer to home.

Spinach, egg & cheese goes so hard for no reason. Can't miss breakfast sandwich if you're in the nolibs/fishtown area

I go once a week for years. Breakfast sandwiches are very good and staff is great. Parking is tough sometimes

Imagine a really good food truck, but it's a building with a four space parking lot and two windows. I used to get breakfast sandwiches there all the time when I worked in the neighborhood and loved them. It is not fancy, but that's the point. They only have outdoor seating, and it's more like standing at shallow aluminum bar screwed onto a support column or exterior wall. Apparently they're known for their fish sandwiches but I think the hot sausage and pepper sandwiches are the best. The service is about as friendly as you would expect from a vendor at a sports stadium or food truck. It's authentic Philly. The service is very down to earth. My out of town family enjoyed the extremely blue collar experience on a sunny fall day. There's a cute park across the street if you want to eat farther away from the road. Penn Treaty Park I think it's called.

Still good after all these years. Crab cakes & hot sausage still delicious. But no longer inexpensive to eat. I gave up the crab fries because of crazy price and no more Arctic teas ;(

Favorite spot to grab a breakfast sandwich. Pork roll, egg and American cheese, SPK on a long roll (hoagie roll). Service is always friendly and efficient.

Your order is ready by the time you put your money on the steel counter. Could you really ask for more?

Johnny's Hots are known for their hot sausages. You can get a variety of hot sausage sandwiches. On one of my morning walks to Penn Treaty Park I decided to stop by and see for myself if the sausages lived up to the hype. I ordered a Sausage, egg & cheese. It comes on like a hoagie roll. I also saw a tasty looking apple danish and grabbed that too. I sat in the park to eat my meal. I am happy to report that the sausage lived up to the hype. It is just the right amount of hot, not overpowering. And It's very juicy. The sandwich was made with the perfect ratio of sausage to egg to cheese. I devoured it! It was soo good! The roll was slightly chewy, which makes me think it wasn't the freshest. The apple danish was a tasty treat I'm glad that I ordered to end my meal with. The big negative to Johnny's Hots is that it's a cash only business. That's ridiculous in 2022. You lose far more business than you save in fees when u don't accept credit cards. I rarely carry cash, so I can rarely stop here for those mouth watering sausages. Such a shame.

Absolutely the best sandwiches in Philly! Johnny's has been around a long time. It's a fave spot of truck drivers, laborers, union workers and business people. The hot sausage is the best according to my husband. ( I don't eat hot sausage) He loves the hot sausage, egg and cheese. My son eats hot sausage with pepper hash. I love the fish cake sandwich with pepper hash! The fish cake has a soft filling and is deep fried to a nice crunchy exterior. It is delicious! What is pepper hash you ask? Well it's a Philly thing! It's chopped peppers, onions in a light vinegar sauce similar to cole slaw but without mayo. It gives the sandwich that little extra kick. Johnnys also does an award winning cheese steak, hot dogs and some other things. They have fountain sodas and tastykakes too.
